Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The selected candidate will join an Agile Scrum Team focused on Financial Center Technology initiatives. This role is responsible for capturing and supporting the delivery of business and system requirements, decomposing Epics into user stories, and managing the product backlog to accomplish business goals.
Responsibilities: - Understand both business requirements and the basic tenets of the technical solution, helping to translate needs between both sets of stakeholders
- Decompose Epics into digestible user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritize stories, and lead backlog refinement with the team
- Ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready before work begins and meet the Definition of Done before acceptance
- Leverage various techniques to assist with the creation of Epics and stories such as process flow diagrams, context diagrams, and use cases
- Apply structural analysis to create workflow diagrams, data flows, business use cases, and data management plans
- Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, and peer Analysts to ensure alignment of work
- Partner with QA to define test scenarios, validate outcomes, and ensure high-quality delivery that meets both functional and non-functional requirements
- Remove team impediments and participate in scrum team/train routines
Requirements: - 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner
- Highly proficient in Jira
- Experience working with scrum and kanban teams in a Scaled Agile environment
- Experience defining user and technical stories, writing acceptance criteria, and leading backlog refinement conversations
- Experience employing various analysis techniques
- Experience working with LOB product managers and System Architects to write Epics and decompose them into stories
- Recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a similar large, enterprise environment
Desired skills: - Understanding of Financial Center transaction processing
Pay range: $51.37 - $59.37 per hour
