Product Review Engineer 5

Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (Onsite)

Role Overview

Our organization is seeking experienced Senior Product Review Engineers for roles in a Liaison Engineering organization. The position involves creating design solutions for nonconforming parts and systems, which includes correcting build or design errors found during production. These solutions will consider metal and composite structures, interiors, electrical systems, functional testing, and safety, among other factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues through the product lifecycle.
  • Analyze, conduct root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Evaluate airplane production discrepancies of all types, including electrical, functional test, and material issues.
  • Resolve and rework parts, components, and assemblies that are incorrectly designed, built, or installed.
  • Represent engineering on the Material Review Board (MRB), responding to inquiries from manufacturing and engineering.
  • Evaluate engineering and production data to determine corrective actions for eliminating and preventing chronic errors.
  • Work across functions to ensure corrective action is implemented.
  • Review and approve design revisions to improve production processes in coordination with engineering.
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches in process improvement activities.
  • Review and audit MRB activities for domestic and foreign suppliers.
Required Qualifications

Education: An ABET accredited engineering degree is required, specifically in the field of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.

Other: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. A "US Person" includes a , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Work Availability: Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may involve rotating shifts. This position is for both 1st and 2nd shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or previous Materials Review Board (MRB) experience.
Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $80.00 and $100.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
