Description

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee and optimize procurement processes within an IT project management environment. This long-term contract position is based in Lehi, Utah, and offers the opportunity to work on dynamic projects while collaborating with diverse teams. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile methodologies and project management tools to ensure successful execution and delivery.

Responsibilities:
Lead procurement activities by defining requirements, identifying vendors, and negotiating contracts to align with project goals.
Oversee IT project management initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to Agile Scrum principles.
Utilize Atlassian Jira to track project progress, manage tasks, and streamline workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient procurement strategies and resolve project-related challenges.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations throughout procurement processes.
Monitor vendor performance and address any discrepancies to maintain project quality and timelines.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance procurement efficiency.
Provide guidance and support to team members on procurement and project management best practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in procurement within an IT project management setting.
Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in project management.
PMP Certification or equivalent project management credentials.
Proficiency with Atlassian Jira and other project management tools.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
