Job Description:
We are looking for a Program Manager to join the IT team at a gaming studio. In this role, you will partner with IT, and studio stakeholders to plan, track, and deliver technology initiatives that support game development and studio needs. This is a hands-on role focused on coordination, execution, and communication. The ideal candidate enjoys bringing structure to complex work, keeping teams aligned, and helping projects move forward in a fast-paced studio environment.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in project or program management, preferably supporting IT, engineering, or technology teams
- 2-4 Experience using project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, ADO, Azure Boards, Smartsheet, or MS Project
- 2 years of one of the following Methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, Scrum
- Experience working in gaming or high production/tempo environments
- Ability to analyze what they don't know and ask the questions to gather the additional information.
Typical Day in the Role
The purpose of this team is onsite IT Support team that provides tier I/II IT user support for the studio and builds pipeline gaming engines.
Key projects: This role will contribute to partner with IT, and studio stakeholders to plan, track, and deliver technology initiatives that support game development and studio needs.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of IT programs and initiatives that enable Halo development teams
- Coordinate day to day execution of multiple small to medium efforts across engineering, IT, and partner teams
- Track schedules, dependencies, risks, and action items to ensure progress toward delivery milestones
- Facilitate project rhythms such as status updates, planning sessions, check ins, and retrospectives as appropriate
- Partner with technical leads and stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify scope, and align on priorities
- Identify risks and issues early, escalating appropriately and helping drive resolution
- Maintain project documentation, plans, and reporting using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Azure Boards
- Support teams using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches based on project needs
- Contribute to improving team processes, templates, and ways of working
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in project or program management, preferably supporting IT, engineering, or technology teams
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
- Ability to coordinate work across cross functional teams with varying priorities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Experience using project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure Boards, Smartsheet, or MS Project
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities
Nice to Haves:
- Experience supporting game studios, creative teams, or production environments
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum practices
- Exposure to technology, platform, or infrastructure adjacent projects
- PMP, PMI, or similar certification (nice to have, not required)
