Position: Systems Integration & Test Engineer (Space & Mission Systems)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Integrator to support the development, integration, verification, and deployment of mission-critical ground software systems for advanced space and intelligence programs. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of software, hardware, and operational capabilities that support complex mission objectives.

You will play a key role in system verification, troubleshooting, automation, and end-to-end validation of ground systems, helping deliver reliable and scalable solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead site hardware deployment, integration, system checkout, and verification activities through program completion.
  • Support integration and verification of ground software systems, including Command & Control (C2) and Mission Management capabilities.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and verification procedures.
  • Analyze system architectures to understand component interactions and identify integration points across subsystems.
  • Troubleshoot integration and software issues through log analysis, debugging tools, and root-cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and test teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Document test results, defects, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of integration, verification, and test automation processes.
  • Support Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery cycles.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with ground software system integration, verification, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of Command & Control (C2) and Mission Management systems.
  • Experience planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks, verification tools, and debugging techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system interactions.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, or equivalent modelling platforms.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Git-based repositories.
  • Experience using Systems Tool Kit (STK) or similar mission simulation and analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with behaviour-driven development (BDD) frameworks such as Gherkin or Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS.
  • Understanding of software configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices.
