**Required Qualifications:**  
- United States Citizenship (MANDATORY)
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and a master’s degree in nursing, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare or hospital operations, with at least 2 years in perioperative or surgical services leadership
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities

**Overview:**  
We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to analyze and optimize the operations of our surgical services department. The ideal candidate will provide strategic recommendations, streamline clinical and operational workflows, and ensure top-quality patient care throughout the perioperative continuum.

**Key Responsibilities:**  
- Evaluate current workflows and processes within surgical services, including procedural scheduling, pre-admission testing, pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, and sterile processing.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency, productivity, and care quality.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements, updated standard operating procedures (SOPs), and effective staff training programs.
- Analyze and optimize the utilization of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Review department budgeting, cost control methods, and financial practices.
- Develop and maintain policies, compliance standards, and documentation.
- Prepare and deliver reports detailing baseline state analysis, future-state process mapping, and operational best practices.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across all levels of the organization, from staff to executive leadership.

**Preferred Experience & Skills:**  
- Prior experience with Military Health System (MHS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), or large integrated healthcare networks
- Certification in perioperative nursing, such as CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) or CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse)
- History of working with major healthcare organizations or consultancies

**Expected Outcomes:**  
- Detailed current state assessment
- Future state improvement recommendations
- Comprehensive standard operating procedures and policy updates

**Education & Certification:**  
- RN with current, active licensure
- CNOR or CAPA certification is highly preferred
