An opportunity is available for a senior Application Developer with expertise in Python and React JS. This role is within the Market Risk Technology team, contributing to a suite of applications for Big Data processing, administration, and reporting. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the application's end-to-end processes and the broader context of market risk initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications within the Market Risk Technology suite.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the end-to-end application process.
- Comprehend all facets of market risk applications, including regulatory reporting, VaR analysis, limit management, and counterparty risk.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and support groups to ensure adherence to release procedures.
- Work with Business Analysts and support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.
- Provide support to the Production Support Team during the production release cycle.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Experience with Python, including multi-threading, ORM libraries, and web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
- Proficiency in React JS.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases like Sybase or Oracle.
- Competence in UNIX programming and shell scripting.
- Strong unit testing and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
- Knowledge of Jira.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $70.00 and $73.68 per hour.
