Role Overview
An enterprise capital management technology team is seeking a strong individual performer for a fast-paced agile environment. The objective is to ensure the company and its subsidiaries are compliant with regulatory capital reporting under Basel rules. This role involves hands-on application development to support and implement a new, stable, and scalable capital reporting and analysis platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on application development to support current and target processes.
- Partner with multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to a strategic platform.
- Contribute to a project that defines data sourcing, business logic, and process flow for calculating risk-weighted assets.
- Develop and implement solutions for generating Basel rules-based capital ratios.
- Engage in performance profiling, identifying performance improvements and memory optimizations.
- Utilize strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills for large-scale enterprise application implementation.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline is required.
Experience: This position requires 10+ years of applicable experience.
Technical Skills:- 8+ years of Python development experience.
- 7+ years of SQL programming experience, preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata.
- 5+ years of UNIX scripting experience.
- Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Knowledge of performance tuning for data-intensive applications.
- Experience with unit test mock frameworks.
- 2+ years of Java development experience is beneficial.
- Programming experience with Hadoop is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in capital calculations.
- Knowledge and experience working within the Hadoop or other big data distributed ecosystem.
- Familiarity with cloud computing or distributed computing.
- Experience with the Quartz platform.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay rate is between $65.00/hour and $68.26/hour.
