Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer for a role within an Enterprise Capital Management technology team. The position involves hands-on application development in a fast-paced agile environment to support a regulatory capital reporting and analysis platform. The objective is to ensure compliance with Basel rules through the development of a stable, scalable, and sustainable system. This role requires collaboration with multiple technology teams to implement target architecture and migrate to a strategic platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on application development to support current and target processes.
- Partner with technology teams to implement the target architecture and platform migration.
- Develop solutions for data sourcing, calculation of risk-weighted assets, and generation of Basel rules-based capital ratios.
- Engage in performance profiling, identify performance improvements, and implement memory optimizations.
- Adhere to agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Conduct coding, debugging, and analysis for large-scale enterprise application implementation.
Required Qualifications
Education: A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline is required.
Experience: This role requires 10+ years of applicable experience.
Technical Skills:- 8+ years of Python development experience.
- 7+ years of SQL programming experience, preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata.
- 5+ years of UNIX scripting and unit test mock framework experience.
- Experience with performance tuning data-intensive applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of Java development experience.
- Experience with Quartz, an internal banking platform.
- Programming experience with Hadoop or other big data distributed ecosystems.
- A background in capital calculations.
- Knowledge of cloud computing or distributed computing.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $63.00 and $68.26 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
