We are seeking a
Python Developer with experience in designing and developing complex server-side components for the financial services sector. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, liaising with stakeholders to understand complex requirements, and delivering solutions within front-office derivatives risk systems. This position requires a commitment to a hybrid work model with three days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex server-side components using Python.
- Work within financial markets, specifically on derivatives risk, pre-trade, origination, or post-trade management systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and prioritize complex requirements.
- Operate within an Agile and Lean software development framework.
- Articulate problems and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
Education: A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years of strong Python development experience is necessary. Experience in the financial services industry is also required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python is mandatory. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is expected.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java development.
- Knowledge of the Quartz technology stack.
- Domain knowledge in derivatives risk, including Greeks and Scenarios.
- Familiarity with pricing and risk concepts for derivative products.
- Product knowledge of equity derivatives such as Futures, Options, and Convertibles.
