Role Overview
The Avionics Engineer supports airline fleet modification initiatives with a primary focus on a 737-800 avionics modification project. This role is execution-focused and responsible for implementing avionics Service Bulletins in coordination with Fleet Engineering, Maintenance, and the Avionics Shop. The position requires working closely with aviation maintenance technicians in a hangar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a 737-800 avionics modification project, which is the primary focus of this role.
- Own end-to-end execution of Service Bulletins, including reviewing OEM and maintenance manual documentation, ordering parts, creating task cards, and coordinating with various departments.
- Provide on-site engineering support to mechanics and aviation maintenance technicians during installation.
- Manage 2 to 5 concurrent engineering projects at a time.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with regulatory and internal standards.
- Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned avionics modification work.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $85.71 per hour.
