Workday Financials

Ideally looking for a Workday Consultant that is strong with both Financials and Payroll

The client went live on Workday Financials & Payroll in October.  They did an express launch so they need help addressing a number of items that are not working properly:

• Reporting- trend reports, ledger reports
• Payroll journal entries are not aligning with the proper companies (they have multiple)
• Enhancements around AP- contract set-ups and pre-pays for example
• Create custom dashboards
• Review configuration for Financials
• Training- the staff received little to no training on Workday

Our client, who recently completed an express launch of Workday Financials and Payroll in October, is seeking an experienced Workday Consultant to provide dedicated post-implementation support and optimization. The ideal candidate will address critical configuration issues, enhance existing modules, and provide essential end-user training to ensure the system is operating efficiently and accurately. This is a hands-on role focused on problem-solving and immediate remediation of post-go-live challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Support & Configuration Remediation

• Review and optimize current Workday Financials configuration to ensure long-term stability and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Payroll journal entries to ensure correct alignment across multiple company entities.
• Manage and implement enhancements within the Accounts Payable (AP) module, focusing on complex setups like contract configurations and prepayments.

Reporting & Analytics

• Design, build, and maintain a suite of critical financial reports, including trend reports and ledger reports, to meet business requirements.
• Create and deploy custom dashboards for finance and payroll stakeholders to provide accessible, real-time insights.
• Training & Documentation
• Develop and deliver targeted training sessions and materials to end-users to address the lack of initial system training.
• Create and update internal process documentation to ensure system data integrity and support future maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Workday Financials and Workday Payroll implementation or post-production support.
• Expert-level functional and/or technical knowledge of Workday Financials modules, with proven experience in Reporting, Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), and Core Payroll.

• Strong understanding of interdependencies between Workday Financials, & Payroll

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex configuration and reporting issues post-go-live.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues and solutions to a non-technical audience, including delivering end-user training.
