The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Electrical Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in production machinery and facilities.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA).
- Specify and procure electrical components, sensors, and instrumentation.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, motor controls, and power distribution.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) for creating and modifying electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, NEC).
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with robotics or automated systems.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
- Experience with vision systems for quality control or inspection.
