Location - 3-6 days/month on-site in Philadelphia, PA
Comp - $90-100/hr

Notes: Retail Experience (Nice-to-Have vs Required)
Retail experience is not required if TPM/technical skills are strong
Ideal candidate can quickly ramp on retail systems and landscape
If coming from retail:
Should understand merchandising systems, POS, and store systems
Be able to speak to how systems interact within a retail environment
Candidates lacking basic knowledge of retail systems (if claiming retail experience) are not a fit
Vendor Management Experience
Experience managing 15+ vendors and integrations
Deep involvement in:
Defining scope across vendors
Building and managing timelines
Tracking deliverables closely
Driving accountability across external partners
Background Profile
Typically comes from:
Technical/IT background moved into program/project management, or
Product background with strong technical exposure
Proven experience functioning as a true Technical Program Manager (TPM)
Job Description
Were looking for a Technical Project Manager (contract) to coordinate a complex, multisystem corporate initiative involving finance/ERP, HR/payroll, supply chain, and store operations. This person will be the daytoday driver who keeps workstreams aligned, issues unblocked, and stakeholders on the same page.
The TPM must be handson, highly organized, and selfdirected, comfortable working with senior leaders and engineering teams, and able to turn ambiguity into a clear plan of record.
Position Description:
Program & Workstream Coordination
Own the integrated technology plan across core corporate systems (ERP/Finance, HR/Payroll/Workforce Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Retail/POS, and related data flows).
Run regular crossfunctional standups and working sessions: set agendas, document decisions, track risks/issues, and keep an accurate, shared view of status.
Maintain a clear critical path and proactively surface timeline risks, tradeoffs, and decision needs to leadership.
Systems & Integration Alignment
Coordinate with internal product/engineering and external partners to:
Align legal entity, tax, and financial requirements with ERP/finance design.
Ensure HR, payroll, and workforce configurations support the target operating model.
Map supply chain and logistics impacts (DC, WMS, TMS, transportation, customs/trade, last mile) and related system changes.
Identify and own dependencies across POS, merchandising, and pricing where entity or market segmentation matters.
Drive creation and maintenance of endtoend process and dataflow diagrams, with clear upstream and downstream system impacts.
CrossFunctional Stakeholder Management
Act as the central coordination point between:
IT / Engineering / Architecture
Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Accounting
HR Operations, Payroll, and Workforce Management
Supply Chain & Logistics
Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit
Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable technical work items with product/engineering leads.
Provide concise, executiveready status and risk summaries, focusing on decisions needed and impact to timelines or scope.
Planning, Execution, and Risk Management
Build and manage a detailed milestone plan that covers:
Environments and configuration timelines.
Integrations and data migrations.
Testing (system, integration, E2E, UAT) and defect resolution.
Cutover, pilot, and stabilization phases.
Maintain a structured risk/issue/dependency log, driving each item to clear owners, due dates, and resolutions.
Coordinate cutover planning and rehearsals, ensuring all runbooks, checklists, and contingency plans are understood and owned.
Vendor & Consulting Partner Coordination
Work closely with system integrators and consulting partners to:
Clarify scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
Align their workplans with internal resource constraints and priorities.
Ensure strong handoffs and knowledge transfer to internal teams (documentation, runbooks, support models).
Required Skills:
Not a hands-on coding role, but must be technically fluent
Comfortable discussing:
o APIs
o Data flows
o Process flow diagrams (system-to-system)
o Interfaces and downstream system impacts
Able to translate technical concepts and actively participate in conversationsnot rely solely on SMEs
Can drive technical discussions and align stakeholders across engineering teams
Own execution and drive changes into production
Manage scope and timelines
Hold vendors accountable and proactively track progress
Identify risks early and escalate as needed
Should understand multi-system environments and integrations
Experience with end-to-end system flows (not isolated to one platform like Workday)
Ability to see how changes in one system impact others across the broader ecosystem
Experience working on large-scale, complex programs
7+ years in technical project or program management as job title on resume
Handson experience coordinating work across:
Finance / ERP legal entities, ledgers/CoA, tax and statutory reporting, cash management/banking.
HR / Payroll / Workforce Management new entities/employers, local calendars and rules, integrations between HR, payroll, and time/attendance.
Supply Chain & Retail DC and store replenishment, WMS/TMS, transportation, and POS/merchandising flows.
Data & Integrations working knowledge of APIs, files, and batch pipelines; understands how master and transactional data propagate across systems.
Selfmotivated and proactive anticipates issues, doesnt wait for direction to chase down answers or unblock teams.
Highly organized and detailoriented keeps plans, logs, and decision records current; follows through relentlessly.
