AI Solutions Architect
Job Summary

As an AI Solutions Architect, you will support the automation and digitization of product development workflows for the Roche Tissue Diagnostics Development Organization.

In this role, you will create custom technical solutions to help scientists and engineers accelerate innovation. Your daily responsibilities include designing automation solutions, testing performance, and identifying opportunities to deploy Generative AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.

You will assess system interactions, develop automated workflows, and implement long-term, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Workflow Transformation: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to audit and map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design digitized, automated future-state processes.
AI Solution Architecture: Design and deploy end-to-end solutions using LLMs, Python/Bash scripting, and integration tools.
Quality & Risk Mitigation: Develop evaluation frameworks to ensure AI output quality, reduce hallucinations, and maintain data privacy compliance.
Prompt & API Engineering: Create and refine prompt structures and integrate AI APIs into business systems.
Performance Tracking: Define productivity metrics and track KPIs to measure ROI and efficiency gains.
Strategic Change Management: Lead adoption of AI tools and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

LLM & Generative AI Expertise: Deep understanding of modern AI models, token limits, and use cases.
Systems Architecture & Digitization: Experience designing solutions that integrate and streamline data systems.
Communication: Ability to bridge technical teams and SMEs effectively.
Technical Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python or Bash with automation tools.
Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to transform manual processes into scalable solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong teamwork with engineering and scientific teams.
Strategic Decision Making: Ability to choose the right tools, balancing complexity and cost.

Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field with 4+ years of experience,
OR Master's degree with 2+ years of experience,
OR PhD in a relevant discipline.
