Position OverviewThe Systems Analyst IV operates with a high degree of independence to review business requirements, evaluate existing or proposed systems, and design effective IT solutions. This role leads and participates in complex initiatives involving configuration, implementation, maintenance, and support of production application systems with broad organizational impact. The analyst also collaborates with leaders and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute key work efforts.
Key ResponsibilitiesEpic & Application Expertise- Must hold Epic Tapestry Certification.
- Build, configure, and program applications to support new or optimized workflows.
- Implement new software applications and upgrades according to project plans, technical specifications, and operational requirements.
- Provide proactive issue remediation and ensure system stability.
Issue Resolution & Support- Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within the supported application area, including cross-team impacts.
- Assess issue severity and prioritize response appropriately.
- Provide documentation for support, training, and testing/validation.
- May provide direct implementation support to end users.
Testing & Validation- Test and validate software applications to ensure proper operation, design accuracy, and end-user acceptance.
Workflow & System Analysis- Analyze clinical or operational workflows and their relationship to the technical environment.
- Evaluate user counts, licensing models, and application utilization to ensure cost-effective operations.
Project Leadership- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Apply project management principles, including agile methodologies.
- Lead and mentor team members; may supervise or evaluate staff.
- Handle complex issues across multiple platforms and provide expert-level guidance.
Governance & Compliance- Follow established protocols to ensure the safety and security of information systems and data.
- Maintain expert knowledge in impacted areas and uphold compliance with all federal and state healthcare regulations.
Other Duties- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Support organizational compliance by reporting any potential non-compliance concerns.
