Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an
Email Developer for a
contract assignment with one of our premier
Insurance clients in
Hartford, CT.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Email Developer to design, code, and QA marketing and transactional emails across the firm's enterprise. This role focuses on responsive, accessible HTML/CSS email development and supporting a large-scale email rebranding initiative. Some support for landing pages and online forms may also be required.
Responsibilities:
- Code, design, and QA responsive marketing and transactional emails using HTML/CSS
- Ensure accessibility, brand compliance, and CAN-SPAM standards
- Rebrand and update 300+ existing email templates
- Troubleshoot rendering and performance issues across email clients
- QA emails built by other developers when needed
- Support basic landing pages and online forms (e.g., registrations, sign-ups)
Required Skills:
- 2+ years HTML/CSS email or web development experience
- 2+ years email design with responsive and accessible design principles
- 2+ years experience building/testing emails in an ESP (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
- Strong understanding of email best practices and compliance standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (AMPscript a plus)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- Email testing tools (Email on Acid, Mailgun Inspect, Movable Ink)
- Basic JavaScript or form/back-end exposure
- Financial services experience
Focus & Work Type: - Primarily front-end email development focused on maintaining and rebranding existing email assets. Limited landing page and form development support may be required.
Performance Indicators: - High-quality, error-free email builds across devices
- Timely delivery of assignments
- Strong QA accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Team & Project: - Part of an enterprise Digital Marketing team supporting all business units. Key initiative includes a major rebrand of 300+ emails along with ongoing email production and support.
