Job Title: Power BI Developer

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Location: St Louis, MO

Working Model: Hybrid (Three days a week in office)

Year s of experience: 8-12 years

Rate: $60/hr - $65/hr on W2 without benefits

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Power BI Developer with 8 years of experience in building interactive dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in DAX, Power BI visualizations, and complex SQL queries on Azure SQL and Oracle databases. The candidate must have hands-on experience working in SAFe Agile environments, using tools such as JIRA, and should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders needs
• Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis
• Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes
• Creating complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis
• Ensuring data security and compliance with best practices
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports
• Providing training and support to end users on using Power BI
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and trends

Required Skills:

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience with Power BI
• Expertise in DAX(Data Analysis Expressions).
• Strong proficiency in data modeling and report design.
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queriesin Azure SQL and Oracle.
• Experience working in a SAFe Agilesetup using JIRA.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction
• Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Adaptability to changing business requirements
• A bachelor s degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields
• Power BI certifications are a plus

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all U.S. locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Final compensation decisions will depend on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate.
