Summary of Responsibilities:
The workstream Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the workstream planning efforts, which includes defining deliverables and the required delivery dates, creating a logical work breakdown structure, defining major project milestones, and accumulating all project cost and benefit estimates. The PM also manages, prepares, and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation. They create and manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, tracking actuals, and calculating earned value metrics. Additionally, the PM identifies risks and issues, provides effective mitigation, and monitors project activities, resolving or escalating issues as needed.
Critical Responsibilities include:
- Oversees all workstream activities and overall delivery of workstream projects and activities.
- Manage data migration activities to align sequencing and ensure data hierarchies and templates support implementation activities.
- Ensure adherence of workstream leaders and program activities to business rules around data retention, migration, and transformation within the program.
- Ensure adherence of workstream leaders and program activities to a master data management strategy, including supporting processes, technology, and people to support.
- Ensures all master data activities align with overarching data strategy and future MDM governance and strategy.
- Partner with all workstreams to ensure data migration activities align in terms of standards and sequencing as required within the program to ensure data hierarchies and templates overlap in the correct order to support implementation activities.
- Ensure adherence of workstream leaders and program activities to support data cleansing activities and testing as required.
- Ensure adherence of workstream leaders and program activities to support standards for data retention.
- Support any other data activities between workstreams and standard templates or policies to ensure that various workstreams operate in standard methods when handling data and executing data activities.
- Partners with Program Director, to escalate risks, identify opportunities, and ensure close alignment of all workstream activities with overarching program activities and goals.
- Establishes and maintains standardized processes and templates to streamline future data migration activities within M&A, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Ensures alignment of project stakeholders via superb communications, influencing, and relationship building.
- Partners with the respective Business Leaders and associated team members to promote the EPMO methodology and ensure quality delivery of project deliverables.
- Ensures project activities are aligned with program strategy and business goals, while meeting quality, scheduling, budget, and standards requirements.
- Through project deployment, fosters and guides full adoption of tools and common business processes.
- Drives the importance of risk management, formal test plans, and security controls.
- Provides accurate project timelines and ensures project activities and resources are aligned to deliver established priorities. Manages and updates project plans, RAID logs, and other project artifacts to support overarching program reporting and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with functional leaders, business leaders, external partners, and other key stakeholders to drive success of the team.
- Helps prepare status reports and presentations for various levels of stakeholders including business leaders, IT leaders, executive level leaders, and corporate workstreams.
- Participates with the Business Teams to develop and measure project success criteria and return on investment.
- Advocates for change management with an empathy for relationships and positions.
- Assists with management of program financials, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking, and calculating earned value metrics.
Skill Set Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in project management or a related field.
- 7+ years progressive experience in supporting the deployment of medium to large scale initiatives.
- 5+ years experience working with master data management, data migration, and data transformation activities within medium to large scale initiatives.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to deliver system solutions.
- Advanced change leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage communication, negotiate successful outcomes, identify risks, and engage stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A solid understanding of information technology and its relationship with business processes, people, and systems.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate ideas and project progress across all levels of the organization, including operational employees, senior management, technical personnel, and consultants (written & verbal).
- Strong facilitation skills to drive issue resolution and consensus efficiently and effectively across all levels of the organization, as well as multiple business units / functional area stakeholders.
- Well-versed in project management information systems and methodology.
- Ability to participate in project activities occurring in multiple time zones.
