Location: Houston, TX (Onsite – Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (High likelihood of extension)
Role Overview
Client is seeking Senior React Developers to build next-generation, high-performance trading platforms supporting Equities Derivatives Execution Technology.
This role focuses on developing Bloomberg-style, real-time UI systems that handle high-volume streaming data, where performance, responsiveness, and scalability are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-performance front-end applications using React + TypeScript
Develop real-time UI components powered by WebSockets and streaming market data
Optimize complex data-heavy UI grids for speed, responsiveness, and scalability
Integrate front-end systems with internal APIs and real-time data services
Implement robust state management using Redux
Contribute to test automation (Jest, React Testing Library)
Partner with backend engineers, product teams, and trading stakeholders
Continuously improve UI performance, reliability, and usability in trading workflows
Evaluate and effectively use AI-assisted code generation tools
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in Frontend Development
Strong expertise in:
React.js
TypeScript
Redux (state management)
Hands-on experience with:
Real-time data streaming / WebSockets
High-performance UI development
Large-scale data grids / data-heavy applications
Strong knowledge of:
API integration
Performance tuning & rendering optimization
Experience with:
Jest / React Testing Library
Modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, testing, release cycles)
Ability to:
Understand how backend systems impact frontend performance
Explain architecture decisions in dynamic UI systems
Handle real-time data updates efficiently
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Background in:
Trading platforms / FinTech / Capital Markets environments
Experience building:
Low-latency, high-frequency UI systems
Familiarity with:
AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, code generation tools)
