Summary

Description

We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team in Land O'Lakes. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in supporting telecommunications and low-voltage infrastructure installations, upgrades, and maintenance. This is an on-site position requiring travel to various project sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications and low-voltage systems, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Coordinate with vendors for cabling, networking, camera systems, and access control to ensure seamless system integration.

Perform structured cabling installations, including fiber-optic and copper systems, for network and telecom infrastructure.

Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades for telecom equipment and related infrastructure.

Collaborate with internal project managers and field technicians to meet project timelines and client expectations.

Assist in building out infrastructure for new installations and expansions.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field promptly and effectively.

Ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards during all installations.

Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and project updates.

Requirements

Proven experience in telecommunications, particularly in telecom rooms, central offices, or carrier environments.
Strong background in low-voltage systems, including access control, security systems, and related technologies.
Hands-on experience with structured cabling systems, including fiber-optic and copper installations.
Familiarity with telecom equipment installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of CCTV and audio-visual systems is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with project teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Availability to work on-site, with potential overtime based on project needs.
