Summary

Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of the organization's network across multiple data centers and remote locations. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work within a Cisco-focused environment while managing day-to-day operations and contributing to network architecture and project initiatives. This is a Contract to permanent position, with an initial six-month contract followed by potential conversion to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operation and uptime of network systems across data centers and remote sites.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco technologies, including Catalyst, Nexus, and wireless platforms.
Administer enterprise firewalls, currently Check Point, with potential future transition to Palo Alto.
Monitor and optimize network traffic and performance using tools such as WireShark, NetScout, and Network Performance Monitor.
Design and update network architectures, including spanning tree configurations and security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
Conduct network analysis, capacity planning, and lifecycle refresh activities.
Ensure accurate documentation of network configurations and compliance with security protocols.
Participate in on-call rotations and resolve support tickets in a timely manner.
Provide guidance and mentorship to entry level network team members.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and wireless.
Active or inactive Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
Proficiency in administering enterprise firewalls, with Check Point experience preferred and Palo Alto familiarity beneficial.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as IPSec and VPNs.
Expertise in spanning tree configurations, Zscaler, and enterprise wireless solutions.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance issues.
Experience working in medium-sized enterprise environments.
Familiarity with network design and architecture in multi-site settings.
