Overview
We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join the Global Electronic Equities Trading team, supporting front-end trading applications used by the Equities desk. This role sits onsite at the firm s new flagship building at 270 Park Avenue and requires a strong mix of technical troubleshooting ability, composure under pressure, and exceptional communication skills.
This team functions as the plumbing of the Equities trading ecosystem ensuring that messages, orders, and data flow reliably and reach the right destinations. You will work directly with traders, quants, and technology partners to keep critical trading systems stable, responsive, and high-performing.
What You ll Do
Provide hands-on support for front-end electronic trading applications used by the Equities desk
Troubleshoot issues across UI, connectivity, routing, and messaging flows
Read, interpret, and debug scripts; assist with Python-based automation and support tooling
Perform Linux-based diagnostics for hardware, connectivity, and system-level issues
Monitor application health, update monitoring frameworks, and modify alerts as needed
Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution
Work closely with traders and business stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ensure stability and continuity of trading operations during market hours
Top Skills & Experience Must Have:
Strong Python scripting experience
Solid Linux background (system checks, hardware troubleshooting, log analysis)
Networking fundamentals (connectivity, routing, message flow)
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with front-office stakeholders
Nice to Have:
Experience in Equities or Electronic Markets
Familiarity with market structure, order routing, or FIX messaging
Prior experience supporting trading or real-time systems
