Duration: 5 Months, Contract to Hire Job Summary We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support the design, development, testing, analysis, and integration of advanced electrical and electronic systems. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and system design to testing, validation, and production support. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for complex technical products and systems.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, analyze, and support electrical and electronic systems, components, and assemblies.
- Create and evaluate analog and digital circuit designs, including schematic development and circuit analysis.
- Perform electrical load analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and verification activities.
- Utilize computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools to support system design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop integrated product solutions.
- Conduct system-level analysis using functional and logical modeling techniques.
- Support product testing, validation, certification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with electrical component selection and ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and review technical documentation, engineering reports, and design artifacts.
- Support manufacturing and production activities by resolving technical issues and implementing design improvements.
- Apply industry-standard electrical engineering principles, practices, and design methodologies.
- Contribute to printed circuit board (PCB) layout reviews and design optimization efforts.
- Evaluate and address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and electromagnetic effects (EME) considerations.
- Support compliance with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Typically 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, and practices.
- Experience with computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools and engineering analysis software.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary design and development teams.
- Experience performing system analysis through functional and logical models.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated technical industries.
- Knowledge of electrical load analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with EMC, EMI, and EME requirements and mitigation approaches.
- Understanding of HIRF and indirect lightning protection considerations.
- Experience with analog and/or digital circuit design.
- Proficiency in schematic capture tools and PCB design processes.
- Knowledge of model-based engineering or model-based definition methodologies.
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes for electrical and electronic products.
