Schedule: Monday - Friday | Normal Business Hours
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Technician III to support aerospace structural assembly, modification, and repair activities. In this role, you will perform precision assembly and fabrication work on aerospace structures and components while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong blueprint-reading capabilities, hands-on structural assembly experience, and expertise in aerospace fastening and fitting techniques.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fabricate major aerospace structural assemblies and components.
  • Perform part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, and riveting.
  • Align and position components using jigs, fixtures, templates, and measurement equipment.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Install aerospace fasteners including rivets, hi-locks, and related hardware.
  • Modify and rework incomplete or completed assemblies in accordance with engineering changes.
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Conduct inspections and verify product quality utilizing established quality control procedures and standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, operational, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in structural assembly, aircraft structures, aerospace manufacturing, or related technical environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Experience performing structural assembly, minor part fitting, repairs, and refinishing activities, including corrosion removal as applicable.
  • Proficiency in installing aerospace fasteners including rivets and hi-locks.
  • Must own and maintain required tools in good working condition.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Prior experience supporting DoD, NASA, commercial aerospace, or military programs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms requiring strong manual dexterity.
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity for close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
  • Ability to hear and distinguish varying tones, sounds, and volumes in a production environment.
Work Environment
  • Regular exposure to manufacturing and production environments.
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, including varying temperatures and weather elements.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, and industrial materials.
  • Frequent exposure to loud manufacturing and shop-floor noise levels.
Safety-Sensitive Position

This position is designated as safety-sensitive and includes responsibilities that directly impact the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and aerospace assets. Responsibilities may include:
  • Inspection of structures, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Performance of aviation-related duties.
  • Operation or supervision of vehicles, machinery, and potentially hazardous equipment.
