Job Title: Financial Analyst
Duration: 6+ months
Location: 100% REMOTE (comfortable working on PST)

Description:

  • Provide high-level leadership and direction for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, managing budgets, timelines, risks, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, building consensus among stakeholders across departments and external partners. Anticipate and mitigate potential project risks and challenges, implementing solutions to maintain project momentum and success.
  • Deliver regular updates and presentations to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on project progress and key milestones.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, integrating innovative methodologies and technologies to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
  • Oversee the adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices throughout all phases of project execution.
  • High-Level Overview of the Role: This role supports both the Technology Investment Office (TIO) and Vendor Management Office (VMO) by enabling execution, financial oversight, and governance across the technology and vendor portfolio. The position focuses on delivering financial and operational visibility into IT investments and vendor-related activities through structured analysis, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Success in this role requires the ability to operate with a high degree of ownership, navigate ambiguity, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support leadership decision-making.

Top 3 Qualities That Would Make a Candidate Stand Out:

  1. Strong Financial Acumen with Analytical Ownership
  • Ability to interpret, question, and validate financial and operational inputs (spend, forecasts, variances) and proactively identify risks, gaps, or opportunities. Strong candidates will go beyond reporting to provide insight and recommendations.
  1. High Ownership in a Cross Functional Environment
  • Ability to independently drive work forward across IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, and Regulatory teams, following up, resolving dependencies, and ensuring accuracy. Strong candidates are organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast moving, matrixed environment.
  1. Clear, Structured Executive Communication
  • Ability to translate complex, sometimes incomplete data into concise, structured, leadership ready outputs. This includes building effective PowerPoint materials, summarizing key messages quickly, and highlighting what matters most (trends, risks, decisions needed).
  • Bachelor s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Team Size and Day-to-Day Interaction
  • Both TIO and VMO are small, highly collaborative teams. The contractor would work closely with:
    • Approximately 2 4 core team members across TIO and VMO
    • A broader network of cross-functional partners in IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, and Regulatory
  • Day-to-day work is highly collaborative and cross-functional, with frequent interaction outside the immediate team. Because the teams are lean, each member is expected to take on a high degree of ownership and visibility across multiple initiatives.

Additional Role Information:

  • This role provides hands on execution, analytical, and governance support to Technology Investment and Vendor Management initiatives.
  • The contingent worker will partner closely with IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, Regulatory, and business stakeholders to maintain continuity of portfolio execution, financial visibility, and decision support.
  • The work emphasizes data driven insights, cross functional coordination, and executive level communication to enable effective delivery of technology and vendor related priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial and investment visibility through tracking of funding, spend, forecasts, variances, and remaining balances across assigned initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reporting to support leadership decision making.
  • Support governance processes, approval workflows, and cross enterprise initiatives by coordinating inputs, validating data, and preparing materials for review forums.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
