Role Overview
This role executes the sourcing process for assigned business areas. The position involves procurement, contract negotiations, supplier evaluations, and compliance with company policies. The Sourcing Specialist will develop and administer sourcing agreements and procurement strategies to drive cost efficiency, ensure supplier performance, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain existing POs, including updates, confirmations, and issue resolution.
- Support special projects such as identifying and resolving past due purchase orders, data cleanup, and preparing the SRM system for a new platform transition.
- Collaborate with internal teams including procurement, planning, and finance to ensure smooth purchasing workflows.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Assist with process improvements and standardization efforts within the supply chain function.
- Support bid analysis, supplier selection, and contract award recommendations.
- Conduct negotiations and execute purchase orders.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or related operations is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables. Must be comfortable working with ERP, SRM, or procurement systems.
Driving: A valid, non-restricted driver's license is required. A driving record validation will be conducted.
Preferred Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with GEP or similar procurement platforms.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $20.00 and $24.88 per hour.
