Role Overview
A position is available for a Project Coordinator to join a Central Maintenance - Special Projects organization. This role involves assisting in the overall management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. The ideal candidate will support construction work for a range of Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage projects by collaborating with and assisting a Senior Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall management of assigned projects to ensure compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals.
- Support construction work performed by contractors and vendors, assessing productivity, schedule compliance, and work quality.
- Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements where necessary.
- Identify potential risks and technical challenges, and assist in developing solutions.
- Plan and manage team goals, project schedules, and new information.
- Manage project-related paperwork, ensuring all materials are current, properly filed, and stored.
- Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, and meeting minutes.
- Adhere to the project budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Interface with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: An Associate's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field is required.
Experience: 0 - 5 years of experience in managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination. Experience in the construction or renewables industry is valued.
Skills:- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Documentation management and the ability to use project management tools.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Time management skills and attention to detail under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- A PMP certification is preferred.
- A technical background with an understanding of mechanical or electrical aspects is preferred.
- Experience with schedule management tools such as Smartsheet.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP or Maximo software.
- Experience with budget and cost-tracking.
Work Environment
This is an office-based role located on-site in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Travel to project sites will be required up to 25% of the time.
