Role Overview
This role is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end AI/ML solutions, from raw data ingestion and pipeline engineering to model development, deployment, and monitoring. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who is equally comfortable engineering scalable data pipelines and building predictive or agentic AI models. This position is suited for an early-career professional who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional program environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines ingesting procurement, materials, and financial data from enterprise source systems into cloud analytics platforms.
- Build, train, validate, and deploy machine learning models for use cases including spend classification, commodity categorization, and materials de-duplication.
- Develop and maintain medallion-layer data architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to ensure data quality, lineage, and governance.
- Implement agentic AI workflows for multi-step reasoning, classification, and end-to-end procurement tracking use cases.
- Collaborate with functional teams to extract and interpret procurement and materials data, translating business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Register, version, and monitor models through a structured ML lifecycle including development, validation, deployment, and ongoing retraining.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting layers that surface actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional subject matter experts to analyze supply chain and procurement issues and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and provide data mining support for business partners.
- Follow Agile/SAFe delivery practices, maintaining backlogs, participating in sprint ceremonies, and producing clear technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of combined experience in data science and data engineering is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL is required. Candidates must have hands-on experience with at least one major cloud AI/ML platform (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Databricks).
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Experience with SAP data extraction or ERP-integrated analytics.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and LLM-based workflow automation.
- Experience in the utility or energy industry.
- Experience with the Agile/SAFe delivery model.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $75.00 to $79.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
