Title: Cloud Build Engineer

Job Description:

The Build Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and integration of proprietary and 3rd party products and services in a greenfield datacenter environment (build-from-scratch). The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience with industry-standard virtualization tools for compute. The candidate must be comfortable deploying, updating and interacting with VM's. This person will not be setting up or using a system that is already built, they will be building the system and be responsible for integrating multiple technologies. The candidate should have experience building infrastructure including OS Image lifecycle, STIG processes, and troubleshooting and debugging issues.

Main Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy infrastructure in a greenfield datacenter environment.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain operating systems and VMware virtualization platforms on client hardware.
• Deploy, update, and manage virtual machines; integrate multiple technologies into a cohesive environment.
• Manage OS image lifecycle, including system hardening and STIG compliance.
• Deploy and support container platforms, including Kubernetes.
• Plan for and execute the addition of new tools and capabilities within the private cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex infrastructure and integration issues.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities to ensure compliance and system stability.

Required Skills:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Expert-level VMware experience in enterprise environments.
• Expert-level Linux administration skills.
• Working knowledge of container platforms, specifically Kubernetes.
• Proven experience building infrastructure from scratch (not simply operating existing systems).
• Experience with system troubleshooting, debugging, and configuration in complex environments.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, technical environments.
