About the job

Join a leading financial services organization to drive significant technical transformation in Broker-Dealer Systems and modernize core technology infrastructure. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem-solving, empowering you to challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry.

As a Senior AI Developer, you will lead AI-focused workflows across the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and complex financial domains to build intelligent systems that directly impact the retirement security of millions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead AI-focused workflows across the SDLC by utilizing GenAI coding assistants to accelerate delivery and reduce context switching.
  • Establish team-level practices for effective AI-assisted development, including agentic workflows, spec-driven development, and prompt engineering.
  • Translate low-level design artifacts, such as class structures, API contracts, and data models, into structured specs that guide AI-assisted implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and adjacent teams to drive IT transformations and modernize systems from legacy to distributed platforms.
  • Communicate effectively, mentor fellow engineers, and maintain a strong bias for action in a highly collaborative environment.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of software engineering experience developing large-scale applications using Java, Spring framework, cloud development, and Web Services.
  • 6 years of experience working with containers, microservices, and cloud deployment in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) model.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with AI/ML implementation, production deployment, and working with Large Language Models like GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, or PaLM.
  • 2 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or PCF) and databases (MongoDB, Aerospike, or PostgreSQL).
  • 2 years of experience in IT transformations and legacy system modernization, such as migrating Mainframe COBOL/DB2 apps to Java/SQL or MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience using GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for daily engineering workflows like code suggestions, test generation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of broker-dealer capabilities and operations.

Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Professional experience working within the Financial Services industry.
  • Proficiency in messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), QA automation, and maintaining a strong quality mindset.
  • Proven ability to develop architectural and design documentation, functional specifications, and automated test processes using tools like Visio.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA and Confluence).
