Job Description
AWS Cloud Security (Architect)
Chicago, Illinois (5 days onsite)
Long term Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to conceptualize and design scalable, high-performance software solutions that align with our 'Engineering First' philosophy and long-term business objectives.
The ideal candidate will lead technology initiatives, enforce security and compliance standards, and provide mentorship to engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and design software solutions that are scalable and high-performing.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of modern technology stacks, with a focus on AWS Cloud services, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Enforce 'Level 3' security standards and data privacy protocols to ensure compliance with banking regulations and SOC 2.
- Standardize CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to enhance automation and reduce technical debt.
- Provide technical mentorship and conduct code reviews for cross-functional engineering teams.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between executive leadership and engineering teams, translating complex business needs into actionable technical roadmaps.
Mandatory Skills:
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services.
- Proven expertise in microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of security standards and compliance, particularly in banking and SOC 2.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in software architecture and design.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
