Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Electrical & Electronics Engineering Manager (level K) in Renton, Washington to lead the high impact 737 Interiors Electrical and Cabin Systems teams.

This team supports critical tasks across the entire 737 interiors value stream so this role requires close collaboration with other payloads and systems teams as well as partners such as Boeing Brazil. A successful candidate will have strong engineering expertise, ability to guide multi-faceted projects to completion, possess outstanding communication skills, and demonstrated ability to build cooperative relationships.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Provides specific guidance to exempt team members to ensure effective performance.
  • Demonstrates basic ability to state what is needed to persuade and convince others without causing defensiveness and to inspire others to take action.
  • Builds relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promotes ideas with enthusiasm and conviction.

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • 3+ experience do you have leading or managing an engineering team.
  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.
  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to all stakeholders.
  • Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.
