Job Title: Project Manager AMI 2.0 Location: Rosemead, CA (Hybrid-2 days onsite) Job Type: Contract
Pay rate: $100/hr - $102/hr on W2 (All inclusive) Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM PST Contract Duration: 18+ Months
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the AMI Advanced Metering Infrastructure 2.0 Program a large scale enterprise initiative within the utility domain
The Project Manager will play a key role across the full project lifecycle including planning execution monitoring and closure This role involves coordinating cross functional teams tracking deliverables supporting solution design and ensuring alignment between business and technical stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
Support end to end project lifecycle planning execution monitoring closure
Develop and maintain project plans schedules and work breakdown structures WBS
Assist in resource planning cost tracking and effort estimation
Coordinate across integration infrastructure data and testing workstreams
Project Coordination and Delivery
Track project progress milestones and deliverables
Schedule and facilitate meetings ensuring alignment across teams
Coordinate with vendors business stakeholders and technical teams
Maintain project documentation reports and dashboards
Requirements and Process Management
Facilitate business process mapping and requirement gathering
Ensure alignment between functional requirements and technical delivery
Maintain traceability between requirements design and deliverables
Risk and Change Management
Track scope against baseline requirements
Support change control processes and document scope changes
Identify risks assess impacts and escalate issues to leadership
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor s degree in Engineering Business Computer Science or related field
Experience
5 plus years of experience in IT Project Management
Experience supporting large enterprise programs
Core Skills
Strong knowledge of project lifecycle scope schedule budget risk
IT infrastructure and system integrations understanding
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables dashboards and reporting
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast paced large program environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AMI Advanced Metering Infrastructure Smart Grid or Utility Projects
Exposure to systems such as MDMS OMS ADMS SAP Head End Systems
Experience with cloud migration or implementation projects
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
Work Environment
Hybrid role 2 days onsite for local candidates in LA Riverside Orange San Bernardino counties
Remote candidates considered with occasional onsite requirements
High visibility enterprise level program
