Why you'll love this position:The Division of Cannabis Regulation is seeking a skilled and forward thinking Systems and Analytics Unit (SAU) Supervisor to lead a newly established team responsible for DCR's data and systems. This role oversees data and systems management, testing and validation, user access, technical support, training, data queries, analytics, reporting, dashboards, and vendor/contract management.
The SAU Supervisor will build and guide a high-performing team from the ground up-setting vision, establishing processes, and driving innovation across data, analytics, and systems. This leader will collaborate across DCR to modernize and standardize data practices, enhance analytic capabilities, and ensure systems support current and future regulatory needs.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
Responsibilities - What you'll do - Lead the Systems and Analytics Unit, including staffing, training, performance management, and workflow development.
- Implement the Division's strategy for modernizing and standardizing data, analytics, and systems processes.
- Oversee development, maintenance, and enforcement of systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Serve as the Division's programming expert and support compliance, enforcement, and licensing systems.
- Produce and manage detailed reports, including tables, charts, and narrative summaries for leadership decision making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with internal partners to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Represent the Division in associations, coalitions, and other external groups.
- Provide Division specific content for the Annual Report.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - All you need for successMinimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (substitutions may be allowed).
- Four to seven years of relevant experience, including work in data and system management or development.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise a highly technical team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and adapt to ongoing program development, change, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to take administrative guidance and independently complete projects and tasks with minimal oversight.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions to new or unfamiliar situations.
- Ability to extract and analyze data to prepare detailed reports used for budgets, policy decisions, process development, investigations, and enforcement actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to quickly learn specialized or proprietary systems.
- Ability to develop and deliver training, and to manage a training program ensuring staff have the resources necessary to perform their duties successfully.
- Proficient in Tableau dashboard development
