Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to lead key initiatives. This role is central to a major technology transformation involving Okta and Oracle identity solutions. The ideal candidate will manage a project reset, establish clear structure in an ambiguous environment, and drive the project to successful completion by working with multiple application owners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage IAM-related projects, including Okta integrations and migrations.
- Establish project structure, create detailed project plans (Gantt charts), define roles with a RACI matrix, and maintain a RAID log.
- Provide consistent weekly status reports and manage overall project performance, including schedule, budget, and resource utilization.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and external vendors, ensuring alignment on timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct impact analysis and dependency mapping by engaging with numerous application owners.
- Identify and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
- Partner with architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to remove roadblocks and maintain project momentum.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager in enterprise-level environments, with demonstrated skills in client management and relationship development.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Okta (integration, upgrades, or implementation). Strong background in Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles and technologies. Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Identity solutions (OAM, OIG).
- Background supporting IAM transformation or modernization programs.
- Understanding of cloud identity ecosystems and security best practices.
- PMP, Lean, or other project management certifications are a plus.
