Job Description:
Project Leadership & Coordination
Manage the full lifecycle of generation interconnection projects, from initial request through commissioning.
Serve as the primary point of contact for developers, internal engineering teams, operations, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
Facilitate cross-functional coordination across planning, protection, substation, transmission line, metering, and system operations groups.
Interconnection Process Management
Guide projects through utility and regional interconnection processes (e.g., FERC, ISO/RTO, state-jurisdictional).
Oversee feasibility, system impact, and facilities studies, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery.
Track project milestones and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
Technical & Engineering Support
Review engineering designs, protection schemes, and equipment specifications for interconnection facilities.
Coordinate system upgrades, substation modifications, and network reinforcements required for interconnection.
Support field teams during construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Identify and resolve technical issues that could impact project timelines or system reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong working relationships with project developers, government agencies, and regional grid operators.
Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to internal leadership and external partners.
Lead meetings, workshops, and technical discussions to align expectations and resolve conflicts.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate project documentation, including scope, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
Prepare reports for regulatory filings, leadership updates, and audit requirements.
