Our client is seeking a Project Manager in Burbank, CA

Role Description

Accountable for overseeing the planning, driving execution and delivery of large-scale, complex implementation projects
Demonstrates clear understanding of the program's vision, objectives, scale and scope of work, expected outcomes, business value and impact, timelines, roadmaps, resource level requirements.
Works independently, receives minimal guidance, and leads through influence
Responsible to a Project Management Office (PMO) consisting of a matrixed set of resources
Actively leads project planning and overall strategy, to include resource needs identification
Collaborates closely with partners across the organization including business partners, other technology partners and delivery managers.
Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Data Engineering, and Technology teams.
Interfaces with key partners and vendors, ensuring they understand both project and project deliverables, meet timing, and cost deadlines, and collaborate with internal project stakeholders to achieve project results
Co-ordinates bi-weekly Data Council meeting, including managing agenda and RAID logs for the Data Council
Proactively identifies and actively leads in the resolution of issues and conflicts
Responsible for escalations to leadership and to vendors as appropriate to drive results
Continually apprises leadership and relevant business stakeholders of status and anything not on track
Communicates successes supported by metrics/KPIs illustrating the business value of IT solutions
Manage project budgets and forecasts and consistently works with the leadership and finance teams to control project expenditures against the project operating expense and capital budgets
Analyzes, measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions, participate in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues, and maintains budget tracking and monitors budget expenditures
Actively leads in establishing and tracking progress to key performance indicators
Responsible for evaluating and tracking overall project health and status; producing actionable insights
Manage weekly project status reporting. Identifies and ensures Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) are logged and actioned; works with project management and execution team to resolve items
Leads/participates in sourcing and contracting activities
Ensures clear communication of project scopes, timing, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress on an ongoing basis
Exemplary communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiences
Identifies gaps in the project team's accountability and ownership of deliverables.

Skills & Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience leading large projects and global teams with 5+ project management resources
8 years in a technology leadership role in a corporate environment of a similar size/complexity
Working knowledge of the integrated systems lifecycle development utilizing different and sometimes - multiple development models (e.g., agile, waterfall, hybrid, etc.)
Familiarity with Data engineering, ETL tools, data integration frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
EPM (Budgeting and Financial Planning) experience
Experience establishing and driving strategy and design for, and implementing and/or upgrading major ERP / Finance platforms
Experience leading large, matrixed project teams including architects, developers, operations, PMs, business analysts, and vendor partners
Experience in leading inter-organization change to increase efficiency through the implementation of technology
Experience managing project, project and team budget and financials
Experience with Security and Compliance
Proven track record of execution--driving results and meeting commitments
Comfortable at using modern work management and collaboration tools (Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project on the Web, Confluence, SharePoint/Teams, Slack)
Understanding of data engineering
Need to have a strong ability to understand data engineering and dependencies.
Must have experience with large scale multiple stream projects.
Must have experience with working with multiple stake holders, and scale to projects. Finance management- must have SAP knowledge how to pull from SAP, forecasting and actuals(heavy). Must be agile and adaptable to deal with multiple situations
