Key Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Project Manager to lead our software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in project management principles and methodologies, coupled with extensive experience in software development. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage cross functional teams, drive project timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of high quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage software development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, while monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Implement and maintain project management best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and project management.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proven experience in project management within the software development domain.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with software development technologies and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience in managing remote or distributed teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • 10 15 years of experience in software development and project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects on time and within budget.
