We are seeking a highly polished and articulate Senior Technical Business Analyst to act as the vital bridge between business vision and engineering execution. In this role, you won't just "take requirements"-you will partner with Product Owners and Architects to decompose complex features into actionable, high-quality technical specifications.
As a leader within the Scrum team, you will drive the refinement process, mentor junior analysts, and ensure our development pipeline is fueled by clear, testable, and strategically aligned user stories.

responsibilities:
- Lead the breakdown of high-level features into detailed user stories with robust acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
- Map complex business workflows to system interactions, identifying data flows and integration dependencies.
- Own the refinement process within an Azure DevOps environment, ensuring stories are "Ready for Dev" prior to sprint planning.
- Collaborate with Engineering to validate technical feasibility and with QA to ensure acceptance criteria cover all edge cases.
- Assist Product Owners in analyzing trade-offs and identifying risks or assumptions in proposed solution approaches.
- Establish best practices for documentation and provide guidance to mid-level and junior BA team members.
- Expert-level proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management.
- Mastery of Advanced SQL to query complex databases and validate system behaviors.
- Exceptional ability to write clear, concise user stories and technical mapping documents.
qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within SDLC projects.
- 5+ years of experience operating within a Scrum/Agile team.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience writing Advanced SQL queries.
- Proven track record of success in an Azure DevOps (ADO) environment.
- Ability to facilitate discussions between deep-tech engineering and high-level business stakeholders.
- Experience in the Insurance Industry - Preferred
