Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Automation Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building and enhancing an enterprise-level Ansible Automation Platform. This role involves handling complex engineering tasks, developing controls for automation platforms, and implementing a complete SDLC chain for managing automation content. The ideal candidate will be a proficient technical resource who can contribute as a team member and an individual, influencing activities related to special initiatives and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities, including technical support and data center capabilities.
- Develop controls for automation platforms with a focus on shared content across enterprise tools.
- Implement and manage the SDLC chain for automation content.
- Serve as a proficient technical resource, providing knowledge and capabilities to the team.
- Assist in establishing input/output processes and parameters for hardware compatibility and system integration.
- Consider applications and platforms across the organizational portfolio for symbiotic alignment and service offering augmentation.
- Incorporate multiple AI channels into standard practice to foster productivity and quality.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5+ years of top-tier systems engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
- 5+ years of experience with TrueSight Server Orchestrator.
- Expert-level Unix/Linux administration and scripting (5+ years) in yaml, xml, python, perl, and shell.
Skills:- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
- Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic business environment.
- Demonstrated analytical, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals across the organization.
- Ability to understand complex application infrastructure and model for compliance reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Github Copilot is a plus.
- Familiarity with TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic) will be helpful for current engineering support needs.
Work Environment
This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
