Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Automation Engineer to join a team building and enhancing an enterprise-level Ansible Automation Platform. This role involves handling complex engineering tasks, developing controls for automation platforms, and implementing SDLC chains for managing automation content. The position requires a proficient technical resource who will contribute as a key team member and individual expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities.
- Develop controls for automation platforms with a focus on shared content across enterprise tools.
- Implement the SDLC chain for managing automation content.
- Serve as a proficient technical resource, providing knowledge and capabilities to the team.
- Assist in establishing input/output processes and parameters for hardware and subsystem integration.
- Influence and direct team activities related to special initiatives or operations.
- Consider applications and platforms across the organizational portfolio for alignment and service augmentation.
- Incorporate AI channels into standard practice to foster productivity and quality.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Typically, 5 years or more of top-tier systems engineering experience.
- Expert level Unix/Linux administration and scripting (5+ years), including yaml, xml, python, perl, and shell.
- 5+ years of experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
- 5+ years of experience with TrueSight Server Orchestrator.
Skills:- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
- Strong organizational skills and experience gathering business requirements from multiple groups.
- Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic business environment.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals across the organization.
- Ability to understand and model complex application infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Github Copilot is a plus.
- Knowledge of TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic) will be helpful.
Work Environment
This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $70.24 per hour.
