Workday Package Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Workday Package Consultant in San Jose, CA.

Summary:
We are seeking a Workday Package Consultant (Payroll Focus) with 6-7 years of Workday technology experience to lead the design, development, and support of Workday payroll integrations. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with ownership of payroll-related integrations and responsibility for guiding integration decisions, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong technical integration expertise, a solid understanding of payroll data flows, and the ability to partner effectively with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:
* Workday Package Consultant will lead the end-to-end design, build, and support of Workday payroll integrations
* Own and manage inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and external payroll vendors and internal systems
* Serve as the integration lead for payroll data flows, providing technical guidance and best-practice recommendations
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues to ensure accurate, secure, and timely payroll processing
* Partner closely with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to deliver solutions aligned to business, compliance, and security requirements
* Lead and support testing activities including SIT, UAT, parallel payroll, and regression testing
* As a Workday Package Consultant, you will create, review, and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, data mappings, and runbooks
* Ensure all integrations adhere to Workday security, data privacy, and compliance standards
* Mentor junior integration consultants and contribute to integration delivery standards and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6-7 years of hands-on Workday integration development experience
* Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, PICOF, and Report Writer
* Proven experience delivering Workday Payroll integrations in enterprise environments
* Solid understanding of payroll data flows, reconciliation processes, and downstream financial impacts
* Strong technical skills across XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST APIs, and web services
* Excellent communication skills with experience working with both technical teams and business stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to own integration workstreams, manage priorities, and drive issue resolution

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
