Description:
Software Engineer - RPA (Contract)

Location: Irving, TX Charlotte, NC Chandler, AZ
Term: 9-month contract (with potential extension)
Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week (mandatory)
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a specialization in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to support a large-scale contact center modernization initiative. In this contingent role, you will lead automation solutions for complex, multi-faceted engineering challenges that require deep analysis, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to evaluate current processes, design automation strategies, and deliver solutions that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy across large operational teams.
What You'll Do
  • Consult on complex, high-impact engineering initiatives involving large-scale systems and modernization efforts.
  • Review, analyze, and design solutions for multi-layered engineering challenges requiring evaluation of several variables, including unprecedented or intangible factors.
  • Develop RPA solutions to automate manual migration activities critical to transitioning legacy contact center systems (from Alvaria to Verint) to a cloud-based SaaS platform.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, RTMs, and cross-functional partners to align engineering deliverables with program goals.
  • Serve as an individual contributor with leadership capabilities, guiding automation strategies and best practices.
  • Participate in weekly coordination meetings and support potential escalation calls post-launch, especially around go-live timelines.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, policy, security, and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent experience through military, training, consulting, or education).
  • 6-7 years of experience preferred, with the ability to act as a technical lead.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RPA development (e.g., Blue Prism, UiPath, or similar tools).
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, and integration patterns.
  • Experience using Excel for validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working within contact center environments.
Project Context
  • This team is driving a major contact center modernization program, now in year two of a multi-year migration from Alvaria to Verint.
  • Approximately 10,000 agents have been migrated to date, with full transition planned by end of 2027.
  • Current process requires manual agent migrations, which is resource-intensive and error-prone-this role will automate those workflows to streamline operation
  • Supplier Expectations
  • All candidate submissions must be routed through Beeline-no direct communication with the hiring manager.
  • No resume solicitation or unauthorized outreach while the position is active.
