Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FI-RAR Consultant to support enterprise SAP Finance initiatives focused on Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR). The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in SAP RAR, S/4HANA Finance, and revenue recognition processes aligned with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards.
The consultant will lead design, configuration, implementation, and support activities for SAP RAR solutions while collaborating closely with finance stakeholders, business users, and technical teams. This role requires extensive experience in SAP Revenue Accounting, contract accounting, performance obligations, and integration with SAP FI, SD, and BRIM modules.
Key Responsibilities
SAP RAR Design & Implementation

Lead the implementation and support of SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) solutions across business units.

Configure and customize SAP RAR components including:

Revenue Accounting Items (RAI)

Performance Obligations (POB)

Revenue Contracts

Event-Based Revenue Recognition

Revenue Posting Logic

Design scalable and compliant revenue recognition processes aligned with business requirements.
Functional Consulting & Business Engagement

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution design discussions.

Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and solution documentation.

Provide subject matter expertise on revenue accounting and financial reporting processes.
SAP Integration & Finance Processes

Design and support integrations between SAP RAR and:

Ensure seamless data flow and accurate revenue recognition across integrated systems.

Support end-to-end finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, and Financial Reporting.
Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

Support audit requirements and financial reporting governance.

Implement best practices for revenue accounting controls and compliance monitoring.
Testing & Deployment

Lead unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, cutover planning, and production deployment activities.

Support data migration and reconciliation activities.

Troubleshoot configuration and integration issues related to SAP RAR processes.
