Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Windows Migration Specialist to support enterprise Windows migration initiatives while delivering exceptional onsite technical support and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Windows migration projects, desktop support, and end-user training within fast-paced enterprise environments.
This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, customer interaction capabilities, and the ability to independently manage technical issues while ensuring a seamless user experience during migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Windows Migration & Desktop Support
- Perform and support Windows migration activities across desktops and laptops
- Build and deploy systems using:
- USB imaging solutions
- OTA (Over-the-Air) deployment methods
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows-based systems and applications
- Provide onsite technical support for hardware, software, and migration-related issues
2. End-User Support & Customer Service
- Deliver high-quality technical support with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Assist users with technical issues in a professional, patient, and empathetic manner
- Provide guidance and training on:
- New technologies
- IT policies and procedures
- Best practices for system usage
- Manage customer expectations and communicate issue resolution timelines effectively
3. Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve complex desktop and migration-related issues quickly and efficiently
- Prioritize incidents based on business impact and urgency
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system changes accurately
- Escalate critical issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution
4. Collaboration & Operational Support
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within the IT support team
- Support migration planning and execution activities to minimize business disruption
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and migration procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Windows migration projects
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Expertise in:
- Desktop/laptop hardware support
- System configuration and deployment
- Troubleshooting and remediation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting:
- Investment banking or trade floor environments
- Familiarity with market data platforms such as:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
