Position Details:

  • Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
  • Location: San Luis Obispo, CA (On-site)
  • Salary: Up to $160,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role:
This position plays a critical part in developing advanced electrical systems, focusing on motion control, electric motors, and power conversion technologies. It also offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and development of motion control systems and power electronics.
  • Perform circuit design, simulation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
  • Support full product development life cycle.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be local to or willing to relocate to San Luis Obispo, CA.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design and development.
  • Strong expertise in motion control, power conversion, and electric motors.
  • Proven leadership/mentoring skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Embedded systems and control algorithms.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (UL, CE).
  • High-voltage design experience (inverters, power supplies, etc.).
