We're looking for skilled, reliable technicians who are ready to roll up their sleeves and help support major projects across Charleston-including school districts, county facilities, and large-scale security upgrades at the Charleston Airport.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you'll install, service, and maintain a variety of low-voltage security and network systems, including:

• Access control systems & electrified door hardware
• Video surveillance & IP/analog cameras
• Low-voltage cabling: Cat5/Cat6, fiber, pathway systems
• Wireless access points & other network security devices
• Hardware such as readers, sensors, crash bars, door brakes
• General troubleshooting, testing, and system upgrades

You'll work both independently and as part of a tight-knit service team, representing the company with professionalism and pride.

Top Requirements

We're looking for technicians who bring more than skills-they bring character.
Must-haves:

• Reliable transportation & ability to pass MVR
• 2+ years of hands-on experience (cabling, access control, electrical apprentice, commercial install experience all qualify)
• Strong job tenure-we want career-minded techs, not job-hoppers
• Experience with hand/power tools; comfortable with ladders & lifts
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• A great attitude, willingness to learn, and pride in your work

Nice-to-haves:

• Structured cabling experience
• Familiarity with security systems (Lenel, S2, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)
• Experience with Allegion or ASSA ABLOY hardware

What the Work Looks Like

You'll support diverse projects around the Charleston tri-county area, with thousands of scheduled work hours-including:

• County facilities (Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester)
• School district security upgrades
• A major multi-month project at the Charleston Airport

Shifts typically follow a 4 10 schedule, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, with occasional Friday work and rare weekends. Basic tools are required; specialized tools & PPE are provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
