Job Description:

Field Services Technician

Onsite in Palo Alto, California or in Newark, California - must have reliable form of transportation

3-6 months, contract to hire

Pay: $35-$38 an hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Services Technician to provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various platforms. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless IT operations and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on support for Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 troubleshooting and Windows 10 re-imaging/migration.
  • Assist with Mac OS issues (nice to have).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365 application issues.
  • Support network connectivity, including Wi-Fi troubleshooting for end-users.
  • Utilize basic PowerShell commands for single-line troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a customer advocate mentality.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and end-users.
Technical Qualifications:
  • Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 7 required; Windows 10 preferred).
  • Familiarity with Mac OS (nice to have).
  • Proficient in Office 365 troubleshooting.
  • Basic networking knowledge for connectivity issues.
  • PowerShell experience for basic troubleshooting (preferred).
  • CompTIA A+ certification (nice to have).
Soft Skills:
  • Strong sense of ownership: "Regardless of the problem, we own it."
  • Customer-first approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
