Job Description
We are seeking a Process Writer to join our Customer Experience (CX) team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process documentation, SOP and DLP development, process mapping, and knowledge management and a proven ability to standardize procedures, identify gaps, and drive documentation quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Document existing CX processes with flowcharts, process maps, and narratives in collaboration with Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and CX teams.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements aligned with best practices.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain SOPs and DLPs across all CX functional areas with version control.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to validate accuracy, compliance, and operational relevance of documentation.
- Create and maintain documentation standards, templates, and tools for consistent usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, clarify process details, and incorporate feedback.
- Manage documentation projects, including planning, milestone tracking, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.
- Report progress, findings, and recommendations to team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Business, Communication, or related field, or equivalent experience in technical/process writing.
- Knowledge management proficiency to identify, create, store, and disseminate actionable information.
- Ability to lead meetings to elicit process information from stakeholders and SMEs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence internal and external partners.
- Microsoft Office proficiency: Word (styles, templates, document control), Excel (tracking, organization, basic formulas), PowerPoint, and SharePoint (document management, version control).
- Working knowledge of process mapping and facilitation, with experience using Visio or similar tools for current and future-state workflows.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail to accurately decompose and record processes.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and work independently to manage tasks and projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Industry knowledge of Medicaid operations, including Claims, Prior Authorization, Provider Enrollment, Contact Center, and Mailroom.
- Experience translating complex workflows into SOPs, DLPs, and process maps.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or Green Belt certification.
- Project management experience across multiple workstreams, including dependency and timeline management using MS Project, Planner, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business productivity applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.
- Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and SMEs to validate processes and achieve objectives.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to team goals.
